A golf trip with friends at Starfield Villa

Every July, I head off on a summer vacation with my 50-something golfing friends. This year, I decided to change things up and go all out for a luxurious trip to Ho Chi Minh City.

We chose Starfield Villa in Thảo Điền, District 2. I'll give away the ending: if we go back, that's where we'll stay again! 🤩

As for Starfield Pool Villa,
✔ Eight guest rooms in total,
✔ Seven bathrooms, including five en-suite bathrooms,
✔ Accommodates up to 16 guests

Since it's a newly built pool villa, everything feels brand new!
From cleanliness to space and atmosphere, everything was perfectly set up.

What really blew my mind was the fact that 'this is the only place in Ho Chi Minh City with a golf practice range and short game area'.

I woke up early in the morning to do a quick swing practice, then went for a round in the afternoon and came back to review it all. 😲

I could hardly believe that, beyond the practice area, we could work on our short game too.

This place is truly paradise for golf lovers.

And right after finishing swing practice and wiping the sweat off, I immediately ran to the biggest indoor pool in Ho Chi Minh City!!!

Palm shadows fell across the open space. I stretched out on a sun lounger, sipped coconut juice and let the music play softly…
For a moment, I could almost have been in Bali rather than Vietnam.

The resort atmosphere was overflowing in every photo-taking spot, to the point that just looking at the photos made me want to go back immediately~

The mood changes when it gets night!
Time for karaoke!

There was a Korean-style karaoke system, a smart TV, a sound-activated mirror ball and plenty of sofa space.

Especially since it's next to an 8-person dining table connected directly to the living room, so after having a drink, you can just grab the mic and start singing karaoke right away

Grabbing a beer from the minibar and singing along to songs from our past with friends...
You know the mood when a friend says, “Wait, you still remember every word of this one?”

For dinner, there was no hesitation in choosing BBQ!

But the BBQ here is really on a different level. It's not just throwing meat on the grill; they even do the meat preparation, light the charcoal, and cook it all for you 😄

We can just sit, chat, laugh, eat, and eat again—without even thinking about washing up~ It's literally a one-stop BBQ setup where you don't even have to move a finger!

It was about $30 per person. Looking at the quality of the meat and everything that came with it, I honestly wondered how they could do it for that price.

Thick cuts of meat, freshly grilled vegetables and the sound of food sizzling on the grill made the meal wonderfully relaxing.

And a sip of beer with friends chatting lightly~ This combo is just definitely happiness confirmed~ 😄

Let me briefly recap my day's schedule!

✔ Morning – ITDANG provides '1 day 1 clean' and towel change for a fresh start
✔ Morning – A quick putting & swinging session at the golf practice facility
✔ Lunch – A meal with hot doenjang jjigae at a Korean restaurant just 3 minutes on foot away
✔ Afternoon: take the limousine to the golf course. ITDANG booked two days of golf for us!
✔ Evening: a massage, then back to the villa for a barbecue
✔ We ended the evening with karaoke and a drink from the minibar. 🎤

There’s more, too.
✔ All bedrooms have king-size beds with premium mattresses.
✔ The bamboo-style bathroom added a natural touch to the interior.
✔ Lighting and furniture arrangement are like a 5-star hotel

✔ The room is spacious and private, and everyone said, 'This is completely my style~'

✔ The surrounding facilities are also very good

A Korean restaurant was about a three-minute walk away. Within ten minutes there were cafés, popular local spots and even a Vietnamese home-cooking restaurant that singer Sung Si-kyung was said to have visited.

It takes 35 minutes to the airport, and moving around 1st District/7th District is also convenient, so the route planning is perfect ✨

I found the price manageable: $800 on weekdays and $900 on weekends for eight bedrooms. At the time we were told fewer bedrooms could mean a discount depending on the size of the group, so I’d recommend checking with ITDANG in advance.

I haven’t found anywhere else in Ho Chi Minh City like it. For a genuinely restful trip with golf friends in their fifties, Starfield Pool Villa is a name I’d remember.
