Bebob Villa: choosing a villa without a pool
Bebob Villa has no swimming pool. This account looks at what the group did at the villa instead.
In late June, just as the heat was setting in, we took a five-day, four-night trip to District 2 of Ho Chi Minh City with friends in their mid-forties. This time we really wanted to unwind.
That’s why, instead of choosing a pool villa, we booked Bebop Villa for its upscale karaoke room.

If you go into the karaoke room separately, another world opens up. As soon as you pick up the microphone and start singing, clapping, cheering, and spontaneous singing erupts, and you naturally say, 'This is better than a coin-operated karaoke!' 😄
Every night was the highlight time of this villa
🎯 Putting the dart machine right in the middle of the living room was an inspired choice.
✔ VND 20,000 per use (a little over KRW 1,000)
✔ The perfect atmosphere for friends to play games briefly
✔ The scoreboard is automatic, doubling the fun!
We warmed up with darts before karaoke: the loser bought drinks and the winner got to pick a song. I loved these little excuses to joke around together.
🍖 BBQ doesn't need any explanation
✔ Everything from preparation to tidying up is taken care of, so we just need to sit down
✔ The composition of meat, sauce, and salad is really good too
✔ Sitting on the outdoor terrace, grilling meat while feeling the breeze… it’s really delicious
A bite of bi bim guksu at sunset, a piece of grilled meat, and a cold beer – that scene is still vivid in my mind
🛏 Six guest rooms, all with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom.
✔ 1st floor: 2 rooms / 2nd floor: 3 rooms / 3rd floor: 1 room
✔ The room size is spacious and there is still space even after unpacking
✔ The interior is clean with warm tones, and there's a point-of-interest art on one wall, making it very romantic
It was really nice that even though we came with friends, we could each go to our own rooms and have a quiet night.
🛋 The common area is spacious and highly functional.
✔ The living room and dining table are in one space, making conversation natural.
✔ A game of darts and a karaoke song between bites made the time fly.
✔ The mini bar and snack bar are well-equipped, so no worries about snacks at night.
📌 My actual daily routine went like this.
✔ Morning – Breakfast with coffee & fruit on the rooftop terrace.
✔ Morning – Start off leisurely by walking along the riverbank path.
✔ Lunch – Rice Noodles at a local restaurant within a 10-minute walk.
✔ Afternoon: take a nap at the villa or book a massage
✔ Evening – BBQ Time
✔ Evening: after a game of darts, we challenged one another to a karaoke sing-off.

✔ Travel times noted on this trip: airport 35 minutes, District 1 15 minutes and District 7 30 minutes.
✔ A shopping area serving a large apartment complex was a 5-minute walk away.
✔ 10-minute walk – Local café & local restaurant
✔ Right in front – Riverside Park and walking path
💬 What this trip taught me: even without a pool, the right layout can make a place fun to spend time in.
