A day at Scat Villa in Ho Chi Minh City

In early July, I headed to Ho Chi Minh City for three days and two nights with friends in their mid-thirties.
The concept of this trip was simple.
“Let’s make it just us and have a proper good time!”

The place that saw us through from start to finish was Scat Villa in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 2.
Honestly… this was more than just a travel accommodation, it was a ‘private playground’.
I lost count of how many times my friends and I said, “Wow, this place is incredible.”

🏊 A pool with a tube? A properly prepared private pool villa

The pool caught our eye the moment we arrived.
✔ Medium-to-large swimming pool
✔ Tube & life jacket included
✔ A romantic table + sunbed setup next to the pool

Morning in the water, afternoon with a beer can lying on the sunbed…
It was 100% satisfaction, as if you could spend the whole day here.

🎤 The karaoke setup felt just like the ones we knew back in Korea.

✔ Dedicated soundproofing
✔ Mirror ball + wall LED lighting
✔ High-end speaker + large screen
✔ There was even a minibar and a snack bar inside the karaoke room.

3 At night, spending two to three hours here is the norm.
We got misty-eyed singing ballads, then clapped and danced to the dance tracks. Passing the mic around, someone even asked, “Are we putting on a concert?”

🛏 Plenty of room features, including king-size beds throughout and distinctive interior touches.

✔ 1 room on the 1st floor / 3 rooms on the 2nd floor / 3 rooms on the 3rd floor
✔ The bed is really soft… just lie down and book a good night's sleep
✔ Each room has color-point walls + modern lighting to create a stylish mood
✔ The bathroom is spacious and clean, so there's no need to wait for a shower turn!

We unpacked, lay down and said, “I could happily spend the whole two days in this room!”

The living room and kitchen are connected seamlessly, with a perfect layout

✔ Large cooking station + dining table
✔ Flow that allows cooking and immediate meal
✔ We prepared simple meals where we were staying,
✔ Can buy anything needed immediately from a supermarket within 1-minute walk

And of course, it's BBQ time in the evening!
The smell of charcoal grilling, laughter, and meat and beer on the table…
At that moment, I felt like "I'm really alive".

🛍 What's there to say about the surrounding facilities?

✔ Walk 1-minute supermarket → All snacks, drinks, and daily necessities are covered
✔ We walked ten minutes to a local favourite and couldn’t stop talking about the lamb.
✔ Walk 5 minutes to a large apartment complex → quiet atmosphere
✔ Riverside walking path → perfect for taking in the morning air while walking

Didn't need to go anywhere else; everything could be handled around the accommodation, and needed items could be purchased right away at the supermarket.
‘Convenience’ and ‘fun’ coexist in the route design👏

📌 Our actual day routine went like this

✔ Morning – one lap around the swimming pool, terrace coffee
✔ Lunch: local rice noodles or lamb at a restaurant near our accommodation
✔ Afternoon – nap time or grocery shopping
✔ Evening – grilling BBQ meat and having dinner with beer
✔ At night we had our own little concert with karaoke and the minibar. 🎤
✔ Late night – gathering around the table for snacks and chat party

💬 The conclusion of this trip was simple

✔ There is a pool too
✔ “There’s karaoke, too.”
✔ It's right next to the mart
✔ The room is spacious and has a romantic vibe

It was just a space where everything 'worked out'
When we wanted to rest, we could rest; when we wanted to play, we could play thoroughly. Most importantly, the phrase 'Let's come back here again later' naturally came up.
