Hotel or shared villa after a round? An account from Bossa Villa

The article compares a hotel stay with having shared space for golf friends to gather and sing after a round.

Prices, promotions and schedules below are from the original publication date.

In early September, my friends in their fifties and I stayed at Bossa Villa in Bình Trưng Tây, District 2, on our golf trip to Ho Chi Minh City.

In fact, I was originally looking for a hotel reservation, but isn't it hard to gather everyone together, chat, or share a drink in a hotel? Room by room, no living room, need to be quiet... 😅

Choosing Bossa Villa turned out to be a stroke of genius.

Not only is the value for money impressive, but the facility quality also exceeded expectations!

Out of the total 7 bathrooms, 6 are located inside each room, so there's absolutely no inconvenience, and the layout is practically well-designed. Even if friends come together, there's no chance of overlapping paths, and it feels natural for daily life, you could say.

The new-build pool villa had a lift, so we found getting around with our parents easy. Our favourite feature, though, was the karaoke!

At night we let loose with a karaoke party. 🎤

To be honest, I’ve rarely seen a karaoke room like Bossa Villa’s, even in Korea.

  • 75-inch smart TV
  • Optima high-end speaker
  • The article described a recent-model karaoke system brought over from Korea.
  • Starry ceiling and laser lights that respond to sound
  • Premium leather sofa
  • Mini bar inside the room! 🍷

I could hardly believe karaoke this good was included at no extra charge. I still remember passing the microphone around and keeping the party going until the early hours.

After one song, I played a game of darts, then rested on the sofa, and then another song... This pattern was completely the truth.

Reason why it was more comfortable than a hotel

The biggest difference is that a villa is a space where everyone can be together, whereas a hotel room is just a place to rest alone.

We also had meals together at the large 12-person dining table, and in the small living room on the second floor, we could enjoy a cup of coffee and have quiet conversations.

With a dart machine, the game atmosphere naturally came up, and the massage chair in the corner of the living room became a natural healing zone after a day of golf.

Who I’d recommend Bossa Villa to

  • Golf travel team looking for a cost-effective high-end accommodation
  • Those who want a more free space than a hotel
  • For guests who want to spend the evening singing karaoke, enjoying the minibar or playing darts.
  • For people looking for a pool villa that allows dogs (an additional fee applies).

Good accessibility and infrastructure outside the accommodation

  • 30 minutes to the airport
  • 15 minutes away from District 1/2, 20 minutes from District 7
  • A mart, restaurant, and café within 5 minutes' walk
  • Walk within 10 minutes to a riverside café and a large seafood restaurant

The location covered both convenience and accessibility.

What I valued most about Bossa Villa on this trip was that our group could get together every evening to talk and unwind.

It's more in our style than a hotel

It was the kind of place that made those words come out spontaneously.
