Planning a company workshop at Scat Villa
The workshop example uses the living room and kitchen for informal discussions and the pool for breaks. The discount in the article is historical.
When preparing a company workshop, the first thing that comes to mind is usually the venue or budget.
But after a few workshops, such a question remains.
‘So, for this workshop, did the team remain?’
If the accommodation is inconvenient, fatigue accumulates from the first day, and if moving around is troublesome, the schedule gets disrupted, and if there's no clear place to go in the evening, it's easy to end up with just one dinner session.
So, for this workshop, I designed how the day would flow rather than where to go.
The space that best fit this criterion was Scat Villa in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City.

🏠 Why Scat Villa Was Suitable for a Workshop
Scat Villa is a large pool villa with sufficient capacity to accommodate the workshop participants.
- Seven guest rooms
- 8 bathrooms
Even with a large number of people, the shower time and rest routes did not overlap, and while individual spaces for rest were secured, it was also structured in a way that allowed natural gathering in one space when needed.
This was also the reason why I immediately felt confident that "we can proceed with the workshop without being rushed by the schedule, while relaxing."

🌿 Remodeled medium-to-large pool, creating the atmosphere for a workshop
The main reason I chose Scat Villa was definitely the pool.
It was much better in person than in the photo, and it quickly created a smooth atmosphere for the workshop.
- Sufficiently spacious for multiple people to use at the same time
- The water conditions were extremely stable
- Available even during the day with canopy installation
- Structure that almost eliminates the risk of slipping on the floor
Some people were swimming, others were sitting on the poolside chairs drinking coffee and resting, and it naturally became an ice-breaking moment.
It was a space where people mingled and started talking without a separately planned activity.

Wide living room and kitchen, 'meeting outside the meeting room' moment
Another strength of Scat Villa was its wide and bright living room and kitchen layout.
From sharing the schedule with a light breakfast, to a relaxation space after swimming for lunch, and finally wrapping up the day with delivery food for dinner.
Many conversations naturally continued in a comfortable space rather than a formal meeting room, and the purpose of the workshop—communication and networking—happened effortlessly.
The kitchen was equipped with all basic appliances such as a refrigerator and microwave, making it easy to prepare or tidy up.
If it were a hotel, the time when everyone would have dispersed to their own rooms would naturally flow into 'time spent together' here.

🎤 A separate karaoke room gave us somewhere to spend the evening without going out.
The most ambiguous time during the workshop is actually after dinner.
Scat Villa had its own karaoke room, so we never had to figure out where to go in the evening.
At first, only a few people entered, but naturally everyone gathered, and it continued into a time of laughing lightly and relaxing.
The fact that evening content was completed within the accommodation without going out was quite an advantage from the perspective of preparing the workshop.

The transfer was done by a 16-passenger transit vehicle.
The transfer was conducted using a 16-passenger transit vehicle.
- Fixed vehicle for the entire schedule.
- Moving by team units to minimize time loss.
- Flexible response is possible even if the schedule changes
Since the moving stress decreased, the overall schedule flowed much more steadily.
🗓 A four-day, three-night workshop itinerary
- Day 1: Free tour or guided tour in Ho Chi Minh City (optional)
- Day 2: Cu Chi tour
- Day 3: Vung Tau day trip
The schedule wasn't too tight, so the balance between the workshop and rest was well maintained, and the participants' fatigue level was low.

Points I noticed while conducting the workshop through ITDANG
While preparing the workshop, the biggest difference I noticed was that I didn't have to worry about accommodation, vehicle, and tour separately.
- Tour · Taste restaurant · Massage · Cafe recommendations
- Activity, one-day class recommendations
- Shopping schedule coordination
- Hospital and emergency situation response capability
All staff members reside in Ho Chi Minh City, and the team is composed of either Korean-speaking or Korean employees, so there was no inconvenience in communication.
In-house operation → dedicated Korean guide → dedicated vehicle → ITDANG exclusive tour. All processes, from start to finish, were carried out directly without the involvement of a middle agent, ensuring the entire workshop flow remained uninterrupted.
ITDANG left an impression as a travel agency that designs a day around the purpose of a workshop, rather than simply selling trips.
If you are preparing a company workshop
It seems the success of a workshop depends more on how naturally the team members mix rather than how far the outcomes go.
If the accommodation, transportation, and itinerary are all planned at once in an organized structure, it makes the organizer's job easier and clearly improves participant satisfaction.
